On November 22, at the invitation of Associate Professor Li-Ta Hsu, Deputy Head of the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the PRIDE research group, led by Professor Jianghui Geng, along with Dr. Maoran Zhu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, conducted an academic exchange at the university. During the jointly organized "Seminar on Advanced Positioning and Navigation Techniques and Applications", Professor Pai Wang, Dr. Maoran Zhu, and PRIDE team members presented the latest research on topics including BeiDou modern signal tracking, high-precision GNSS services, visual semantic enhancement localization, polynomial optimization state estimation, and componentized PNT framework. The team led by Associate Professor Li-Ta Hsu shared their research progresses on GNSS multipath signal suppression, integrity monitoring, multi-sensor fusion, and urban model correction in complex urban environments. The seminar fostered lively discussions, with in-depth exchanges on the applications of high-precision GNSS and multi-source sensors for urban navigation.
During the subsequent hardware demonstration session, Professors Jianghui Geng and Pai Wang showcased the componentized PNT hardware platform developed under the national key R&D project “Componentized Flexible Integrated Navigation and Control Key Technology and Application Verification”. They also introduced the framework, advantages, and future application prospects of componentized PNT. Dr. Maoran Zhu presented a pedestrian dual-foot inertial navigation device developed by the research team at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with a live demonstration of its functionality. The PNT hardware demonstration attracted significant interest from faculty and students at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, sparking widespread discussions on the latest advancements in PNT software and hardware technologies and future development trends.
This seminar provided an excellent platform for academic exchange and the presentation of research progress, further inspiring the research enthusiasm of the PRIDE team members and helping to promote innovative research outcomes in the field of PNT.
