On December 5, 2024, the Wuhan Combination Center (WCC), established under the leadership of Professor Geng Jianghui, was unanimously approved by the Governing Board of the International GNSS Service (IGS). The WCC will operate alongside the IGS Analysis Center Coordinator (ACC), led by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), as one of the two global combination centers for precise satellite products under IGS.

The WCC is a joint initiative by the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Satellite Navigation Positioning Technology Research Center of Wuhan University. Dr. Wen Qiang and Associate Researcher Dr. Chen Guo have been appointed to manage the WCC's daily combination and quality assessment tasks. Dr. Wen is a core member of the IGS PPP-AR Working Group's daily product combination efforts and has contributed to the third IGS reprocessing campaign, integrating 26 years of GNSS clock and bias products. Dr. Chen has played a significant role in the combination and evaluation of iGMAS orbit products.

The WCC will undertake the combination tasks for IGS ultra-rapid, rapid, and final orbit/clock/bias products. The combined products generated by the WCC will be officially released as IGS products. In collaboration with the ACC, the WCC aims to advance IGS products toward higher precision and multi-frequency, multi-system capabilities.
