From December 21 to 22, 2024, Dr. Wen Qiang and Wang Feng from the PRIDE Lab participated in the “2024 National Conference on Spatial Intelligent Remote Sensing and Marine Surveying, Mapping, and Navigation and Advanced Equipment Exhibition” held in Weihai, Shandong Province. The conference, themed “Aerospace Empowering Oceans, Innovation Strengthening the Nation,” brought together 19 academicians and more than 50 nationally recognized top-tier experts and scholars. Centered on the strategic goals of building a “strong aerospace nation” and “strong maritime nation,” the event facilitated the sharing of cutting-edge research achievements, discussions on engineering and technical challenges, and promotion of industry development.
At the “Comprehensive PNT Forum” of the conference, Dr. Wen Qiang presented a report titled “Progress of the IGS Wuhan Combination Center (WCC) in the Integration of Precise Satellite Products.” He introduced the mission and recent advancements of the WCC, established under the leadership of Professor GENG Jianghui. As one of the two global precise satellite product integration centers under the International GNSS Service (IGS), alongside the Analysis Center Coordinator (ACC) led by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), the WCC has significantly enhanced China’s influence and voice in the international satellite navigation community.
At the “Graduate Student Forum and Liaoning Graduate Innovation and Academic Exchange Forum,” Wang Feng presented a report titled “Detection, Classification, and Stochastic Model Optimization of Obstructed Satellites Based on Environmental Semantic Enhancement,” showcasing the Lab’s research efforts in leveraging environmental semantic enhancement for high-precision BeiDou positioning in urban environments.
